Scarpa and Grivel support 737 Challenge

As Richard Parks embarks on his challenge to climb the 7 Summits, which are the highest mountain on each of the world's continents, and venture to The North and South Poles, all against a 7 month clock, he’ll be supported by world class products and companies who will assist his epic expedition.

The 737 Challenge is thrilled to announce officially that Scarpa and Grivel are supporting the challenge. Richard will be using their products throughout his world first expedition as he attempts to become the first ever person to stand on the continental summits and all 3 poles in the same calendar year.

The Mountain boot company have supplied Richard with Scarpa and Grivel products throughout his 16-month training period and will also be the official footwear and climbing hardware supplier for this world first challenge.

SCARPA have had over 50 years experience of making the world’s finest mountain boots and Richard will be using Scarpa boots on all 9 of the challenge’s legs including Scarpa Phantom 8000, Scarpa Phantom 6000 and Scarpa Cristallo boots.

GRIVEL are one of the world’s best brand names in mountaineering equipment and hardware. Throughout the 737 Challenge Richard will be using Grivel gear, in particular the incredibly light and versatile Grivel Air Tech Carbon ice axe and Air Tech crampons. Grivel have also supplied Richard with additional ice axes, meaning he is able to further his fundraising for Marie Curie Cancer Care by auctioning 3 record breaking ice axes that would’ve been to each of the continental summits and The South and North poles at the end of his expedition.
