Cardiff Ambassadors raise over £4,000

Richard returned to the yearly Cardiff Ambassadors Gala Dinner on Thursday where guests raised an incredible £4,395.00 for Richard Parks 737 Challenge, which is raising funds in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

A year after the Ambassadors supported Richard before he set off for his record breaking 737 Challenge, Richard was thrilled to be invited back as a special guest to this year’s dinner to talk about his world first expedition.

The night saw BBC Breakfast presenter Sian Williams host a glamorous event at City Hall with 385 guests and talks from Richard Parks and Director general of the BBC, Mark Thompson as well as stunning performances from TV Opera star Wynne Evans.

Prizes to be won on the night included a signed pair of gloves that Richard wore on his 737 Challenge, guests were hugely generous once again raising £4,395.00 as the night came to a close.

Richard was thrilled to return and share his challenge with businesses and guests and for the generous donations, he stated; “I really must thank Cardiff & Co for inviting me back to their Cardiff Ambassadors Gala Dinner.  It’s not only a great event that celebrates business and prosperity in Cardiff, but it was fantastic to return and share my challenge a year on.  I am so grateful for all the donations made by all the guests, it was a fantastic night so thank you to everyone”.
